József Rácz, Hungary
József Rácz
started playing the violin at the age of seven. He studied at the
Kecskemét Conservatory and later at the Liszt Academy with Mária Zs.
Szabó, Dénes Kovács and Leila Rásonyi. He attended master classes of
such internationally renowned artists as Ferenc Rados, Imre Rohmann,
Dénes Zsigmondy, György Pauk, Loránt Fenyves. Rácz is a
former member of the Weiner-Szász Chamber Symphony, the Ferenc Liszt
Chamber Orchestra, and Concerto Budapest. Currently he plays in the
Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Hungarian National Opera, and the UMZE
Ensemble. Rácz has
participated in a great number of chamber music and contemporary music
recitals. His regular chamber music partners include Gábor Csalog,
György Déri, János Selmeci, Zoltán Tuska. In 2011 he was
a guest concert master of the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra, and
subsequently in 2012 he was invited to play a solo concert with them.
