Başak Kömürcügil was born in 1997. Her music career started with violin lessons by Rasim Bağırov. When she was 7 she joined to Ministry Of Culture’s Polyphonic Kids Choir” and she has given local and foreign concerts.In 2008 she started to H.U. Ankara State Conservatory and she has been learning basson with Gülnur Kurt, chamber music with Sedat Civelek and Gülsen Şatana. She gave a lot of solo and chamber music concerts.

She played at Doğuş Kids Symphony Orchestra, Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Turkish- German- French Youth Orchestra, Hacettepe Youth Symphony Orchestra, Ankara Youth Symphony Orchestra, Hitit Philarmonic Orchestra and Hacettepe Symphony Orchestra.
She is still working with Gülnur Kurt at the H.U. Ankara State Conservatory.
