He started to his music education in his early ages by having piano lessons from Ayşe Ediz.After graduating from T.E.D. Ankara Collage, he entered to Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Composition and Orchestra Conducting department and  studied with Prof.Muammer Sun. He had the opportunity to work there with many distinguished names like  Prof.İlhan Baran, Prof.İstemihan Taviloğlu, Prof.Dr.Ertuğrul Bayraktar, Assistant Profesor Banu Perk and Jolan Jaroka. 

After completing  harmony, counterpoint and orchestration lessons,he improved his compositional formation at the Conservatory.Later he completed his military service. During this period of time, the arrangements which he made for the Military Harmony Orchestra was performed by conductor Haluk Erten in Turkey and abroad. 

After his military service, he continued to his academic career at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Composition and Orchestra Conducting department. After completing his graduate and postgraduate program, he received the titles of Associate Professor and afterwards  Professor. 

In the professional music education field, he wrote a musical theory book named “ Interval Knowledge” . At the same time, this book was printed in English  and used as a guidance on various conservatories and music faculties. Besides his other book writing efforts, he has also miscellaneous articles in the fıeld of education on composition. 

His chamber music and orchestral works are performed in Turkey and abroad. In 2013,  his “Concertino for piano and orchestra “ was performed in Budapest and other cities of  Hungary by himself as a soloist. 

At present, Prof.Munzur as the Director of Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, he continues to his dense efforts, together with his administrative colleages, to a further value of the Conservatory, which acts as milestone in this area.
