He is a musicologist, composer and performer. He graduated with B.A. degree in Musicology Department of Ankara State Conservatory  from Hacettepe University, and received his M.A in Ethnomusicology and Folklore Program of Social Sciences Institute from Hacettepe University. He worked as a lecturer at Musicology Department of Ankara State Conservatory and Music Education Program of Ondokuz Mayıs University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Fine Arts Education Program of Social Sciences Institute from Selçuk University. He is an instructor in Department of Performing Arts and Head of Department of Music at Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory of Selçuk University.
