Yunus Emre Muti, Turkey
Yunus Emre Muti was born in Sakarya / Turkey in
1991 and was the youngest child in his family. He went to a classic
elementary school and started leaning guitar at the age of 13 by
himself. He started showing interest in jazz music during the last years
of high school, and in 2010 he got excepted into Hacettepe University
Ankara State Conservatory jazz department , getting the highest score in
the exam. His first year here, he studied with George Skip Gales, Howard
Curtis ,Emre Kartari, Adam Larrabee, Bob Hallahan and Doug Rirchards,
which he also took stage. He attended İzmir Internstional Jazz Camp in
2012 and 2013. He also went to Holland and Germany in student - exchange
programs and took place in music projects there. In Washington D.C.-USA
, he was invited to take place in the Turkish Festival playing jazz and
he is still a student in Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory
Jazz Department.
